STATEMENT
In MMXXII, Holy Coyote Studios began with a single question.
Can an independent, student-run studio composed of one person originate complete cinematic projects?
The answer was yes.
MISSION is the testament to that.
Over the course of three years, Holy Coyote Studios crafted 'Mission' meticulously, piece by piece. The result was a feature documentary, in which pre-production, interview preparation, camera operation, production design, on-site lighting, audio field recording, timeline editing, color grading, audio design, original soundtrack production and final project delivery were all completed in-house at the Studio.
CREATIVE DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY
My name is D. Joaquin Campos. I am a creative based in Texas, with an emphasis on multi-disciplinary media studies. Basically, I do my best to do everything I can on my passion projects. For example, this website was built by me.
For most creatives, particularly filmmakers, there is usually some part of the larger process that one cannot stand... like needles poking into your head. For myself, there is no part I do not enjoy. I take pleasure in every part of the creative process... even if it takes a lot of effort to get to that point. There is ultimately more to be learned than not.
Therefore, I have found distinct pleasure in the process of seeing a project through from start to finish. That is, pre-production to post-production and everything in between. This has led to my development of the Studio’s philosophy of Unified Vision, in which a creative may complete a project with most or all of the elements created by them.
It’s my hope that I will meet more like myself. That we all may collaborate intellectually and authentically, thus creating a future where the voice of the individual is meaningful in a new way.

I strive to a standard of excellence in my work. With each piece, I attempt to walk the line between intentionality and serendipity. Implementing Catholic spiritual tradition as a part of each work, I attempt to unify each piece with myself and with Christ.
Therefore, I aim to express what is good, true and beautiful.
